Vision for a Graduate

North Star Classical Christian School recognizes the formative contribution that parents make in the education of their children. As a school, we aim to provide an environment conducive to holistic formation that addresses not just the mind, but also the body, heart, and soul. We also see the vital role the student plays by taking ownership and initiative for his or her own learning. Ultimately, our hope and reliance are in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to cultivate the life of the student to reflect the following characteristics:

Authentic Faith

Students view the world through a comprehensive and integrated worldview, and have a passion for both knowing God through His creation and making Him known.

Intellectual Virtues

Students take initiative for the investment of self-education and self-government and are shaped by the formation of intellectual virtues (curiosity, carefulness in thought and action, autonomy, thoroughness, humility and obedience, tenacity and self-control, attentiveness, punctuality and responsibility).

Critical Mind

Students evaluate their entire range of experience utilizing logic and an educated imagination. Students have a wide breadth and depth of a factual foundation, as well as tools of informal and formal logic to synthesize new information.

Compelling Communications

Students listen carefully and respectfully with discernment and speak clearly and persuasively with intentionality, hope, wisdom and eloquence.

Purposeful Perspective

Students view themselves and others as being created with intention and for a purpose. They respond to their experience of the world with wonder, which leads to genuine worship, true wisdom and purposeful work.
