One way to consider education is by adding your Christian faith to an existing approach to education, hoping to filter through the values and assumptions inconsistent with the Christian Intellectual Tradition.
Instead of adding, our approach is to build our curriculum from scratch, beginning and ending with Christian values and truth.
North Star is an environment where students are taught from a consistent biblical worldview that acknowledges God as Creator of a universe that reflects His order, design, purpose, and glory in all things.
This will be evident in all subjects and disciplines and will bring integration to everything that is learned. All learning starts from Him, points to Him, leads to Him and reflects Him. "For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17
We seek to train students how to think Christianly, rather than only teaching them what to think. More specifically, students will be given the training and tools to enable them to think critically and logically about all things within the framework of a biblically-centered worldview. They will be equipped to dissect, discuss, defend, and take ownership of biblical beliefs, as well as prepared to communicate winsomely and eloquently.
